EVOKE & EVOKE +

This study is investigating if a tablet medication (Semaglutide), currently being used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, can stop memory deterioration in people with Mild Cognitive Impairment or early Alzheimer's Disease.

PEBBAL

This study is investigating the barrier between the blood vessels and the brain using brain imaging (MRI) to see if it is damaged in people with Alzheimer's Disease. We need people with Alzheimer's Disease and people without any memory problems for this study.

AVANIR

Tablet medication for people with Alzheimer's disease who are distressed with agitated behaviour.

Agitation symptoms can be very distressing for the person with dementia but also for their family members. This drug has the potential to reduce agitation and therefore some of the distress associated with agitation. 

QMIN-MC

This study is examining whether analysing MRI brain scans using new advanced computer techniques can help with our diagnosis of memory problems and make predictions about who is going to get worse. People with a range of memory problems can take part.

TOPHAT

This is a trial to see if an already licensed drug called ondansetron is an effective treatment of hallucinations in people with Parkinson's disease or Lewy Body Dementia. We need volunteers with Parkinson's disease or Lewy Body Dementia.

COBALT

This study is looking at whether combining memantine and a cholinesterase inhibitor is effective in the treatment of Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease dementia. We need volunteers with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease dementia.

SUSSEX ATTITUDES SURVEY

This is an on-line questionnaire study examining what happens to people's attitudes, lifestyles and views in those who have been seen by a memory assessment service but who do not receive a diagnosis of dementia.
